NADAguides Announces Chevy Aveo Most Fuel Efficient Car Under $30k

With prices at the gas pumps continuing to rise, fuel efficient new cars become more popular.  So, the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) NADAGuides have announced the top 5 most fuel efficient vehicles under $30,000.  Coming out on top was the already popular compact budget car, the Chevrolet Aveo.

The top 5 most fuel efficient cars list focused solely on NON-HYBRID vehicles, which makes sense, as there aren’t any hybrid vehicles available under $30,000 in America.  Here’s the top 5 list:

  1. 2011 Chevrolet Aveo
  2. 2011 GMC Terrain
  3. 2011 KIA Soul
  4. 2011 Nissan Sentra
  5. 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen

All of the above cars made the list due their 30 + mpg fuel consumption as well as taking into consideration all the desirable available options for each car.  More and more cars in the sub $30k are coming to consumers with more standard options than ever before.  Interestingly, the list contains not only compacts like the Chevy Aveo, but also suv’s (Terrain), crossover(Kia Soul), and a wagon (VW Jetta SportWagen).

Today, the consumer has many cost saving, economical, fuel saving vehicle choices.  You no longer have to go micro, bare bones to get an economical vehicle that sips gas at a miserly pace.  And with gas edging toward $4.00 per gallon, these cars are becoming very popular on dealer lots.
