Southern California Government Meeting Professionals To Meet April 13, 2011



The newly chartered Society of Government Meeting Professional (SGMP), Southern California Chapter, will hold its first meeting in Anaheim on Wednesday, April 13.


This first luncheon meeting will be held at 11:30 am at the Red Lion Hotel, 850 South Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92802.


The meeting topic will be “Galloping to Contract Success.” There also will be a panel of SGMP members describing the benefits of membership in the organization.

SGMP is a national organization of meeting professionals who work in the government sector, including planners and suppliers. The organization is dedicated to improving the knowledge & expertise of individuals in the planning and management of government meetings through education, training and industry relationships.


The new Southern California Chapter, which grew out of the San Diego Chapter, will include Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties.
