Man Robs Bank For One Dollar, For Free Medical

A fifty nine year old man needed medical care but could not afford to pay it so he decided that the only way to get the medical care he needed was to rob a bank and go to jail and let the tax payers pay for his medical care. The ironic thing is that it worked but because he only robbed the bank for one dollar, it is not bank robbery but larceny.

He had lost his job of seventeen years as a deliveryman, took a job driving truck, then a part time job at a convenience store. He was having trouble with his back, his left foot had problems making him limp, plus he had arthritis and carpal tunnel. The icing on the cake, so to speak, was finding a protrusion on his chest.

When he went into the bank, he handed the clerk the note demanding one dollar plus medical attention, then he went over and waited for the police to show up. His bond is two thousand dollars but he does not plan on paying it. What he plans on doing is telling the judge if the punishment is not long enough for him to get back and foot surgery plus the protrusion on his chest checked out, he will do it again.

He is planning on spending a few years in jail hopefully getting out in time to collect his Social Security and making a move to the beach all healed on tax payer’s money.
