Solar Storms Set To Hit Earth, United States To Be Affected

Over the past three days there have been three large explosions from the Sun. This has the United States government scientists warning the users of telecommunications, satellite, and electric equipment that they should be preparing for a possible disruption over the next few days. The magnetic storm that may develop soon will probably be in the moderate to strong level.

As far south as Wisconsin and Minnesota, people may be able to see the northern lights. This is a natural light display in the sky that is normally only seen in the Antarctic and Arctic regions.

They are saying that the first of the solar explosions have already passed Earth on Thursday and the second one is passing over now with both having little or no impact. The third one will be over Earth in the next few days. The next solar peak is expected to happen in 2013 and will be a solar maximum peak. Because they are coming up on the next solar maximum scientists are expecting to see more of these type of storms over the next 3 to 5 years.
