NASCAR’s Kyle Busch Loses Driver’s License

In the what the hell were you thinking category, NASCAR race star Kyle Busch apparently forgot he had left the track, when he was stopped for speeding.  Kyle Busch lost his license yesterday, for going slightly over the speed limit. He was clocked at 128 mile per hour, in a 45 mph zone in North Carolina on May 24.

Now, we here at Cali Examiner have been known to speed occasionally, maybe 15 to 20 mph over the limit (shhh), but 83 mph over the speed limit?  What was he thinking?  Well for starters, he was driving a test drive loaner Lexus LFA, a two seat sport coupe, valued at $400,000.  So obviously he was thinking I better make sure this thing is as fast as Lexus said it is.

Two, his wife was with him, and maybe he was hoping to put himself and her out of misery by wrapping it around a telephone pole at 128 mph.  That would certainly be a sure death for both of them, and much more exciting than taking a bullet to the head.

Three, Kyle is a big fan of America’s Got Talent and needed to get home asap to watch it, after forgetting to set the DVR to record.  (note to Kyle:  There’s an app for that!)

But seriously.  The main reason Kyle did it was because he knew thanks to his stardom, he would get off with a slap of the wrist.  That’s right every other red neck hillbilly in North Carolina would have lost their license for life, had to give up their first born son (from a previous marriage to a second cousin), and paid a million dollar fine.  But not Kyle, no he gets off with a 45 day suspension and a $1,000 fine, along with a little community service. That’s right, the guy going 128 mph in a 45 zone will be telling your miscreant kids not to speed as part of his punishment.  Ironic, isn’t it?

The only other question is can Kyle Busch race in a NASCAR race without a drivers license??
