Is it just us, or are there a lot of earthquakes going on these days? After a 7.1 magnitude earthquake off the Alaskan coast this morning, a 6.4 earthquake just rocked north Central Argentina and Buenos Aries and the rest of Northern Argentina, on the other sided of the planet.
The 6.4 earthquake shook building enough to cause widespread building evacuations in the capital city. The U.S Geological Service said it struck 80 miles from the city of Santiago del Estero, which has a population of 250,000 people. The quake occurred nearly 400 miles underground, which should minimize damage to buildings.
There is no word yet on any major damage, injuries, or casualties.
