Naked Protest In Utah Sets World Record

The recent underwear protest in Utah has a double whammy result to the organizers of the event. Aside from driving out a strong message regarding the uptight laws in Utah, the naked protest also put the state in the global map as well. According to reports, the naked protest broke the previous world record for the biggest gathering of people wearing only underpants or knickers by 1,720 people.

The Guinness World Records officials said 2,270 peo ple stripped to their underwear during the Utah Undie Run on Sept. 24. The previous record of 550 people was set last year in Great Britain. With their successful protest action which netted them not only widely publicity but a world record as well, the organizers of the event Utah Undie Run organizers are planning another run next August.

The organizers said the naked protest will be against Utah’s conservative politics. Participants in the event are expected to wear bras, panties, nightgowns, swimwear or colorful boxer shorts.
