A 46-year-old man accused of stalking teenage singer/actress Selena Gomez has officially denied the accusation in court. Thomas Brodnicki has entered a plea of not guilty to his pending stalking charges against Gomez at a court in Burbank in the north downtown of Los Angeles. Earlier, Gomez gets a much needed relief after the court granted her request for a temporar y restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki to stay 100 yards (90 meters) away from Gomez and her workplace.
Gomez earlier sought for the TRO after he felt extreme fear due to the threats of Brodnicki. According to earlier reports, the suspect had threatened to harm or kill the actress while on a psychiatric hold. Gomez, who is known as the girlfriend of teen pop superstar Justin Bieber, became popular around the world for playing Alex Russo in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place. The young star also subsequently ventured into feature films and has starred in the television movies Another Cinderella Story, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, and Princess Protection Program.
