The Mexican police scored big on its crusade against illegal drugs as they were able to seize more than two tons of marijuana in the Pacific Ocean near the resort town of Cabo San Lucas. According to reports, the Mexican navy were the ones who discovered the huge illegal drugs haul consisting of 178 packages 24 miles east of the port. The navy are still continuing their search on the vast sea to hopefully recover more illegal drugs.
The authorities said at the moment they are still continuing their investigation on the incident to trace the owners of the illegal drugs. Meanwhile, the Mexican army for its part also scored big on its campaign to weed out illegal drugs in Mexico as they were able to seize five metric tons of marijuana and 32 rifles in raids in border cities of Tamaulipas state. The Mexican military said they were able to kill two people arrest 10 others during the raid.
