The people living on the coast in Northern, Ireland got the biggest surprised of their lives when 20 tons of dead herring fish were found on the shorelines. The huge number of fish was on the coastline on New Year’s Eve and has baffled both local residents and officials.
The fishes were first discovered by Jan-Petter Jorgensen, 44, who was walking his dog Molly when he made the discovery.
Jens Christian Holst of Norway’s Institute of Marine Research said they will examine the dead herring fishes to determine what killed them. The residents hope no similar incident will happen in the future for the sake of the environment, and the future generations of their country.
