American singer/actress Selena Gomez got a much needed reprieve from a man who was reportedly stalking her. A civil judge has issued an order prohibiting 46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki from going near Gomez and her family in the next three years.
Superior Court Judge William D. Stewart ruled there is basis on the issuance of the restraining order to protect Gomez and her family from possible harm from the alleged stalker. Gomez, 19 is very happy with the issuance of the restraining order. The fast rising teen star earlier filed the case after he felt extreme fear due to the threats of Brodnicki.
According to earlier reports, the suspect had threatened to harm or kill the actress while on a psychiatric hold. Gomez, who is known as the girlfriend of teen pop superstar Justin Bieber, became popular around the world for playing Alex Russo in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place. The young star also subsequently ventured into feature films and has starred in the television movies Another Cinderella Story, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, and Princess Protection Program.
