The days of “The Devil Inside”, on top the weekend box office ladder in North American cinemas is now officially over. This after “Contraband”, an action-drama film took over the slot as the top earning movie in North America last week.

The movie about a reformed smuggler drew praises from film experts who did not expect it to rule over the box office race. The Devil Inside for its part just earned $7.9 million to land on the sixth spot last week.

The runner-up in the tight box office race went to Disney’s 3-D re-release of “Beauty and the Beast” with $18.5 million ticket sales. Here is the complete list of the top-grossing film in North America last week:
