Nine months before the actual United States presidential election, search engine giant Yahoo.com made a bold prediction that incumbent president Barrack Obama will win his reelection bid against the Republican nominated candidate. Based on its prediction, Obama will get 303 electoral votes compared to the Republican’s 235 electoral votes to rule the November elections.
The Yahoo made the prediction based on its forecast on the results of the Electoral College conducted on past elections, economic indicators, measures of state ideology, presidential approval ratings, incumbency, and a few other politically agnostic factors. Obama and the Democrats expressed joy over prediction but remain steadfast and focus on their aim to elect Obama on his second term as president.
The Republican Party for their part are unfazed with the prediction and they vowed to work even harder to make sure their candidate will win the election.
