Hollywood superstar actress Angelina Jolie has joined thousand of voices for the armed intervention to stop the ongoing crackdown in Syria which killed many civilians in the area. In a recent media interview, Jolie said the United Nations should now intervene in the conflict by conducting a military offensive against the leaders of Syria.
Jolie, who also happens to be a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said many civilians had already died because of crackdown made by Syrian leaders. She said for humanitarian reasons the nations around the world should unite and stop the killings of civilians in Syria. The veteran actress also took time to criticised those nations who opposed moves for the UN’s intervention in Syria.
Jolie said humanitarian reasons always pr evail over financial gain since the lives of people are more important than money. Moreover, Jolie hoped the violence in Syria can finally come to an end for the sake of the children and civilians in the area.
