Gastonia police say that a 13-year-old girl pulled out a knife and attacked a fireman late Tuesday night.
GPD said that it happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday in a neighborhood east of Crowders Mountain State Park where a Gastonia Fire Department crew was. The crew told the cops that one of their firefighters had been attacked by a young person with a knife. The girl also tried to fight another officer, according to the report.
When the cops got to the street, firefighters were holding the teen down. The cops say that when they tried to take her into custody, she attacked them as well.

The girl was charged with aggravated assault and assault, and the GPD said that she was being held in a youth detention center in Concord. Due to her age, no one knew who she was.
The police department didn’t know what happened to the fireman or how he was doing.
