15-year-old Died Passing a Pistol

Police caught a teenager on Friday who they say killed a 15-year-old two days ago in a trailer park near Miami.

The Miami Herald won’t name the 16-year-old who was taken because of his age. He is being charged with manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

On Wednesday, 15-year-old Horace Mann Middle School eighth-grader Barry Ellis III was shot and killed at the trailer park at 8050 NW Miami Ct.

The tweet below verifies the news:

Latasha Goldwire, his mother, begged the person who killed her son, who had big goals and loved to play video games with friends, to come forward.

She told CBS News Miami, “This is the last thing I would have thought would happen.” “He was so important to me.”

On Friday, Miami-Dade police said what happened at the trailer park the afternoon Ellis was killed.

The accused 16-year-old was in the mobile home with Ellis and a group of other teens.

Police said Ellis took out a gun and showed it to the group. When it got to the 16-year-old, he pointed the gun at Ellis and hit him in the chest.

The suspect told police that he accidentally shot Ellis.

Police said that the 16-year-old handled the gun carelessly by keeping his finger on the trigger while pointing it at the victim.
