19-year-old Boynton Male Charged With Fatally Shooting 65-year-old

Investigators have caught a 19-year-old man who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in a Greenacres liquor store in March. He is being charged with first-degree murder and shooting in a crowded building.

Investigators from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office say that Brandon Frazier, who lives in the neighborhood of Boynton Beach, shot and killed a 65-year-old man at 777 Liquors on the 3600 block of South Military Trail, north of Lake Worth Road, on March 21.

The man’s family asked PBSO not to release his name because they had a right to privacy under a 2018 state constitutional change that was based on California’s Marsy’s Law. It lets crime victims or their families keep their names out of reports to the public.

A Person in Jail on a Murder Charge Does Not Get Bail

The report said that Frazier, who worked at 777 Liquors, got out of his car with an AR-15-style weapon and shot several times at an older man who seemed to be shopping in the store. When they got there, deputies saw 20,556-caliber gun casings near the body of the person who had been shot.

The arrest report didn’t say if Frazier was on duty when the killing happened, nor did it say why he did it. We tried to talk to the store on Friday afternoon but were unable to.

Thursday, deputies caught Frazier and put him in jail. During a meeting at the county jail on Friday morning, County Judge Ted Booras said that Frazier should be held without bail on the murder charge and that bail for the gunfire charge should be set at $100,000.

Booras gave Frazier a lawyer from the Public Defender’s Office in Palm Beach County. As a rule, it doesn’t talk about cases that are still going on.

PBSO Says Witnesses Identified the Man in Arrest as the Shooter

Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County offered a $3,000 prize this month for information that led to the arrest of Frazier. The fatal shot happened around 6:30 p.m. on March 21. This is what the sheriff’s report says.

Investigators say that a tall man who was later identified as Frazier was seen walking from near the front door to a gray Toyota Camry stopped right in front of the store on video surveillance footage. The arrest report said that he opened the trunk and took out what looked like an AR-15 weapon. He then walked back to the liquor store, where he fired several shots.

When deputies got to the scene, they saw the older guy lying on the floor with several gunshot wounds. At the time of the killing, the man was holding money in his hands, as if he was trying to buy something.

Witnesses told investigators that Frazier was the one who shot the person.
