Police say that around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, they were called to The Phoenix Apartments on Whitesville Street because a 2-year-old boy had been shot.

When they got to the room, they found a 2-year-old who had been shot once in the face.

The child was taken to the hospital, but because of his injuries, he died there.

The police said they are trying to figure out how the child got the gun.

Two adults and three other kids were also in the room at the time, according to the police.
