A multiple-vehicle acc*dent on Interstate 10 in the Whitewater region resulted in the de@ths of three individuals and the injuries of six more. The incident occurred on I-10 eastbound near Haugen Lehmann Way at around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The investigation conducted by the California Highway Patrol, a Tesla Model 3 and a Chevrolet Suburban collided while traveling in the second motorway lane. Because of this, the Suburban crashed into the median and flipped over.
Investigators determined that seven people were on board, six of whom were ejected during the collision and one of whom was only partially ejected. The police have determined that none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the cr@sh.

At the site, the three female occupants of the Suburban were determined to have d!ed at ages 10, 12, and 31. Girls aged 3, 7, 11, and 15 years old, as well as a boy aged 15, all sustained critical injuries. A 39-year-old male driver and another adult passenger were both moderately hurt.
“This was a traumatic scene, with injuries of young people and a mother, on Mother’s Day,” said CHP Officer Jason Montez. “It’s heart-wrenching.” A relative taking a different route from the Suburban group claims that they were going to Indio.

The Tesla’s driver, a 31-year-old guy from Indio, was not hurt and denied medical attention at the scene. Two patients with life-threatening injuries were flown to the hospital in an air ambulance, and two more with less severe injuries were taken there in ground ambulances.
For around eight hours beginning at Main Street, all eastbound lanes of the I-10 Freeway were closed due to an acc*dent. The accident’s root cause has yet to be determined.
