One person was shot and killed at a house party in Lawrence, and 5 other people were hurt.
The DA’s office says that around 3 a.m., the Lawrence Police Department was called to 5 Royal Street, Apt. 3, to deal with a fight.
When they got to the house, they found 6 people who had been shot.
One of the six was declared dead at Lawrence General Hospital, where all six were taken. The victim’s name won’t be released until the next of kin are told.
Two of the other victims were taken to hospitals in Boston by medical helicopter so they could get more care.
The killings are being looked into by the State Police Detective Unit of the Essex County District Attorney’s Office and the Lawrence Police Department.
Police say that they don’t think the killings were done for no reason.
