5 Killed in Texas Home Shooting; Suspect Sought

After a killing early Saturday in Texas, five people were killed and a search is on for the person who did it.

KHOU, a CBS station, says that police are looking for a guy who may have an assault rifle after a shooting in San Jacinto County, which is about 55 miles north of Houston.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office says that four of the five people who died did so at the scene and one died at the hospital. Three more people were taken to the hospital, but no one knows how they are doing.

KHOU said that around 1 a.m. on Saturday, police got a call about a shooting on Walter Drive in the Trail End neighborhood. Sheriff Gregg Capers said that several people were shot “execution-style” inside a home.

Early Saturday morning, the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook that there were “lots of police in the Trails End area due to reports of a shooting” and asked people to stay away from the area.
