According to authorities, six individuals were shot at a large party in Chico, California last night, including a 17-year-old who later died from his wounds.
According to a press release from the Chico Police Department, officers were called to the location of a huge party around 3:26 a.m. on Saturday. Police discovered six victims aged 17 to 21 with gunshot wounds.
A 17-year-old girl was killed, and four other people, including a 21-year-old man who is in stable condition at a local hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries, a 20-year-old man who has been released from the hospital after receiving treatment for similar injuries.

A 19-year-old man who was also admitted to the hospital and is in stable condition after suffering similar injuries, and an 18-year-old man who was also released from the hospital after receiving treatment for similar injuries.
Since the Chico Police Detective Bureau is currently processing evidence, police have stated they would not release any names at this time. The police have determined that there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community as a result of this occurrence. The police have appealed for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
