Officials reported that seven remains, including two that they suspect to be those of two missing teenage girls, were discovered on Monday afternoon at a man’s home in Oklahoma who was wanted by police in connection with the youngsters’ abduction.
Authorities stated the victims were discovered at a property in Henryetta, which is a city located about 90 miles from Oklahoma City. Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, were listed as endangered or missing by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol earlier on Monday. A registered s*x offender named Jesse L. McFadden, 39, was also listed.
The two teenagers may have been on the same trip as McFadden, according to the alert, who was last seen in Henryetta early on Monday morning. Sheriff Eddy Rice of Okmulgee County claimed he was unable to identify the seven victims right away.
However, Rice responded, “We believe that we have found the persons,” when asked if search efforts for the missing girls and McFadden had ended. Just waiting on confirmation at this point. Rice said that the girls’ families have been informed.
Rice told the Tulsa World newspaper that McFadden’s residence was where the seven bodies were found. The Oklahoma S*x Offender Registry lists McFadden at the same address. The bodies were discovered “not in the residence, but just on the property,” Gerald Davidson, a spokesman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, told reporters on Monday.

Additionally, Davidson said Monday night that McFadden was no longer wanted by law enforcement. “There is no suspect at large that we are looking for right at this moment,” Davidson said. “So … there is no threat to the community.” According to the school system, “several of our students” are being mourned.
On its website, Henryetta Public Schools wrote to parents and guardians that they are “grieving over the tragedy of the loss of several of our students.” The school system stated, “Our hearts are broken, and we have thought about what would be best for our students in the coming days.”
The school administration also stated that there would be no cancellation of classes and that kids would have access to clergy and mental health specialists. “We understand if you feel it is more appropriate to keep your student at home,” the message continued. “Please continue to keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.”
The school district announced on Facebook that there would be a vigil for the “families affected by this tragedy” on Monday night. At the time of the US Census in 2020, Henryetta, which is in central Oklahoma, had a population of 5,640.
