A 5-year-old Child Dies After Walking Away From His Clinton Township Home In Frigid Weather

Unprepared for the chilly weather when he wandered away from his Clinton Township home at age 5, a missing 5-year-old youngster lost his life.

According to officials, the youngster was discovered early on Monday, January 23, at Harper and 15 Mile roads in Clinton Township.

When she put him to bed on Sunday at around 10 p.m., according to his mother, she last saw him. A dispatcher reported that the man was only wearing underpants and an undershirt.

Using Broadcastify, a dispatcher remarked, “Our caller is reporting he’s out with a male who’s seeking for his autistic 5-year-old son.”

Police from Clinton Township visited the family’s residence, the Saravilla Apartments.

The dispatcher replied, “The parents of the 5-year-old will be outside, wandering around the building.” “The mother is sobbing under the carports.”

Authorities fanned out to the Clinton Cooperative next door after the child wasn’t discovered in the apartment building. They discovered the youngster there, in a park with a basketball court and a jungle gym.

The child’s life was allegedly saved, according to officials. He was sent to a local hospital but passed away there.

Residents decorated the boy’s apartment door with balloons and candles on Monday evening.
