Georgia woman busted for false stolen Jeep report

Georgia police officers arrived to the 2900 block of Panola Road to recover a stolen Jeep SUV. The Jeep was allegedly stolen as a four-year-old was in the back seat.

Kenta Jenkins, the mother of the kid, claimed she was the victim of an armed carjacking. According to reports, her 2020 Jeep Wagoneer was stolen while it was running unattended and unoccupied.

However, shortly after attempting to reclaim the vehicle and the youngster, police officials discovered that they had been duped. About two hours later, the toddler was found to be safe at home with a family member.

According to WSBTV, officers charged Kenya Jenkins with submitting a false complaint and took her to the DeKalb County Jail.

Authorities suspect the tag may have been removed from the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The public is advised to be on the watch. The case is still being investigated.

However, why do drivers frequently claim that their children have been abducted in stolen vehicles? Every few months, I come across new examples of this behavior.
