On Saturday around noon, a guy in his 40s was shot in Burlington.
He was found with a gunshot wound in his chest near Manhattan Pizza and Pub on the southwest corner of Church and Main Street. Police think the shooting happened in an apartment building close to where he was found.
An email from Acting Chief Jon Murad of the Burlington Police Department says that when the 911 call came in at 11:47 a.m., Burlington Police officers and a Vermont State Police agent went to the scene.
The guy was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center by emergency workers. The police haven’t said anything about how the victim is doing.
Murad says that the killing was the second time a gun was used this year.
