Alabama Walmart Worker Filmed Children in Store Bathroom

A man from Alabama is facing 53 charges because cops say he filmed kids in a Walmart bathroom.

McClatchy News said that Ethan Richardson, a 25-year-old worker at the Walmart in south Cullman, was arrested in February after he was accused of using his phone to film a child while on the job.

Adam Clark, a spokesman for the Cullman Police Department, told WBMA in February that officers were at Walmart for a different reason when someone told them that Richardson was using a recording device.

Clark told McClatchy News that Richardson had used his own device to inappropriately film a child.

Walmart fired Richardson, according to WBMA, and cops said he was charged with making and having child pornography. More charges may be brought, though.

Police said that Richardson was charged with 53 things on May 5:

Police said that all of the charges came from a previous arrest and probe.

AL.com got a copy of the indictment, which said that the felony charges included everything from making pornography with children to aggravated illegal surveillance.
