Alan Thicke Cause Of Death
On the night of December 13th, 2016, Thicke fainted while playing ice hockey with his son Carter at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank, California. The rink manager claimed he was able to communicate with paramedics and even joked to his son to snap a selfie as he was being carried out on a stretcher.
At the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Thicke passed away later that day from a type-A aortic dissection. He was 69. On December 19, 2016, Leonardo DiCaprio and the rest of the cast of Growing Pains returned to attend Alan Thicke’s burial.

What Was Alan Thicke Warned About Just Months Before a Fatal Heart Attack
Alan Thicke’s widow Tanya Callau says blood pressure and heart health issues weren’t “something that the physicians would have been looking at” before his sudden death at 69.
Alan Thicke received a dire heart warning months before his death.
The late Growing Pains star died Dec. 13 at 69 after fainting while playing hockey with his youngest son, Carter. According to PEOPLE’s death certificate, he died of a “ruptured aorta” and a “typical type A aortic dissection.”
The actor and his wife Tanya (Callau) Thicke filmed an episode of Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry before his death, which will air Wednesday. In an E! News preview, Henry and Tanya see Tyler’s reading with Alan, in which he warned the actor about his heart months before his death.

Streisand told PEOPLE that Tanya Thicke has never threatened to make private family affairs public. “Alan’s sons have used tabloid media, a phony lawsuit, and refusal to mediate to harass Tanya. Tanya wants to handle her sons’ lies quietly out of respect for Alan’s memory.”
