In case you haven’t seen it yet, All American, the smash popular sitcom from the CW, is now available on Netflix. In case you’ve forgotten, the first two seasons of the show were a big success on television, but things took off when the show premiered on Netflix in 2020. (early in the Covid-19 quarantine era). It is a show about a high school football team and the tenuous friendships that bind them together. As the championship game approaches and one of the show’s central protagonists faces his or her demise, the show’s viewers are clamoring for information.
Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long for those answers, or another season of your new favorite program, for that matter. It has been announced that All American will return for a fourth season, so you can expect even more high school drama.
All American Season 4 Plot
The second half of season four will focus on Spencer’s efforts to complete high school without incident as the season draws to a close. His role in the trophy heist and his refusal to turn the state’s evidence against any of the other players will make it difficult.
It is based on Spencer Paysinger – who played college football in Oregon – who is the inspiration for the main character. No of what happens, we’ll almost certainly be making our way to the next significant stop.
The Black Lives Matter movement, which received a special episode in season three, will likely be revisited by showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll in future seasons.
The purpose of this episode was to bring awareness to the suffering and the fact that “enough is enough,” as Okoro Carroll put it (via Entertainment Weekly).
“However, I’m unsure. Sometimes it appears as if nothing is making a difference. I try not to be discouraged by that, and I try to reflect the truth of that in the show, because we take pride in the characters’ ability to accurately represent what it’s like to be a young person in America today, especially a Black person. And we hope that it will make a positive impact.”
In season four, let’s pray that the matter isn’t brought up at such a distressing time.
I never in a million years expected this episode to air just days after another young Black boy was killed by an officer,” Okoro Carroll said.
“I didn’t expect it to air so soon after the Derek Chauvin trial, to be honest. I didn’t expect it to air so soon after the death of Adam Toledo. We haven’t achieved the progress I was hoping for, and I’m heartbroken by the fact that this will feel like I wrote it just last week.”
