During a chase early Wednesday morning, three theft suspects fired at Bothell police officers, according to King County deputies.
So far, only two teens have been caught.
The King County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects are wanted for a robbery with a gun that happened in Bellevue early Wednesday morning.
At 2:53 a.m., a 7-Eleven shop in the 100 block of Bellevue Way was robbed. Bellevue police officers were called to the scene.
Clerks told police that three people with guns and masks walked into the store, and one of them shot a warning shot into the air. Meghan Black, a spokeswoman for Bellevue police, said that the thieves took money from the cash register and ran away before police came.
Soon after that, Bothell police officers thought they were following the suspects’ white Jeep Cherokee and called Bellevue police.
The Shooting Did Not Hurt Anyone
Around 3:15 a.m., the Bothell police were in a chase, and shots were fired at them. The sheriff’s office said that the shooting did not hurt anyone.
The chase finished in Shoreline, near North 180th Street and Sunnyside Avenue North, where the suspects left their SUV.
The area was surrounded by police officers and deputies. Many police officers came to the scene, and a K-9 unit and a drone were used to look for the suspects.
Two of the three suspects, a boy and a girl who are both 17 years old, are in arrest, Bothell police said. We haven’t found the third person. Five more people were taken into custody Wednesday night. No one knows if they were involved in the robbery or not.
Black said that the people who robbed the stores in Bellevue may have been involved in the robbery of a convenience store in Renton early on Wednesday.
