Brevard County Man Arrested After Threatening Lady With Pistol

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Titusville police have named the man who was caught after he stole a car with a gun and led police in two counties on a chase.

Investigators found out that the suspect, who is 52 years old, is already on probation.

After the chase on Wednesday ended in a rollover crash on State Road 50 in Orange County, police said the suspect’s first stop was at the hospital.

Brevard County officers put out videos of the chase that led to Dax Rodriguez’s arrest.

Investigators say that everything started Wednesday around 4 p.m. when a woman in the 3000 block of Willis Drive called Titusville police to say that a guy was threatening her with a gun.

She was able to get away and go to a neighbor’s house.

The sheriff’s office said that Rodriguez then ran away to a house on Carpenter Road in rural Titusville, where he used a gun to make someone else give up their car.
