According to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, a Philadelphian is accused of several crimes, including attempted murder, in connection with a shooting that involved a Cheltenham Township police officer on Saturday morning.
Calvin Yim, 27, is accused of aggravated assault, disarming a police officer, and resisting arrest after being taken from the hospital.
A strange individual was reportedly spotted wandering along Twickenham Road at around 9 a.m., and officers later identified the man as Yim in the 500 block of Bridal Way, according to officials. They claim that bodycam footage from the probe by the Montgomery County Criminal Probe Bureau shows the officer stepping out of his cruiser and approaching Yim, whereupon he motions for him to sit down and speak.
