In relation to the death of a Kincaid man on February 22, a Christian County man was taken into custody on Thursday on suspicion of drug-induced homicide.

Bradley P. Graham, 39, is currently being held at Taylorville’s Christian County Jail under a $1 million bond. His residence during a prior arrest was given as Kincaid on a website.

The 40-year-old Daniel Durbin who was found dead inside a home in the 500 block of Richardson Avenue when Kincaid Police officers were performing a wellness check is the subject of the lawsuit.

Agents from the Illinois State Police and crime scene investigators were called to the residence to look into the strange death.

The relationship between Graham and Durbin wasn’t immediately apparent.

The illegal distribution of a controlled substance to another person, as defined by Illinois law, is considered a drug-induced homicide, as is any death that results from “the injection, inhalation, absorption, or ingestion of any amount of that controlled substance.”

Bradley is scheduled to appear in court on Monday over the bond issue after being detained by ISP agents and Christian County sheriff’s deputies.
