State police have reported that a prison guard at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City was allegedly assaulted on Monday.
The 39-year-old Jeremy W. Davidson struck the boss in the head with a steel pipe. After the attack, the victim was taken to the hospital.
Around 12:30 p.m. local time on Monday, when inmates were working in a steel shop, Davidson and the supervisor got into a fight, according to a news release from the police.
The debate became physical when Davidson struck the manager in the head with a steel pipe, perhaps inflicting fatal injuries.

The person received emergency care after being airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital. The victim’s condition was critical.
According to authorities, Davidson was brought into jail right away and is now in another facility instead of the state prison.
Five counts of child molestation from Carroll County have already resulted in a sentence for him to serve. The year 2192 marks Davidson’s debut.
As of Monday night, no charges had been brought against anyone in relation to the attack on Monday. In light of the findings of the inquiry, the LaPorte County Prosecutor will decide on the charges.
