Cop’s Wife Accused Of Defrauding Real Estate Company Of $500K

Investigators from the state say that the wife of a police officer in Georgia stole $500,000 from the real estate office she ran.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says that Brandy Clower, who is 39 years old, stole more than $500,000 from Holliday Realtors in LaGrange. She was caught and charged with theft by taking.

Clower worked as a property manager for the business, according to its website. Investigators say she is also accused of taking advantage of and scaring an older person.

LaGrange police, where Clower’s husband is a sergeant, asked the GBI to look into the theft claims on March 8, according to a news statement from the government.

It’s not clear how long Clower allegedly stole and if he still works there.

The tweet below confirms the news:

On May 11, McClatchy News asked Holliday Realtors for a comment and was waiting for a reply.

The police department also opened an internal review into Clower’s husband, but said “there is currently no evidence” that he broke any laws or departmental rules.

“The LaGrange Police Department will wait until the GBI’s investigation is over,” a statement said. “At that time, our own internal investigation will be closed.”
