According to Kalamazoo County sheriff’s officers, a collision occurred Saturday night near U.S. 131 that injured three people.
A person is in serious condition and two other people were sent to a local hospital for treatment, according to the police, who provided scant additional details about the reported crash. According to police, their wounds weren’t life-threatening.
On Saturday, May 13, at 8:09 p.m., Michigan State Police and sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint of a two-vehicle collision along southbound U.S. 131, north of Stadium Drive (exit 36), in Oshtemo Township.

For more than two hours, U.S. 131 southbound was shut down while authorities looked into the incident. Approximately 11:30 p.m., the Michigan Department of Transportation reported that it reopened.
