Drake Bell of “Drake & Josh” quickly laughed off the panic that Florida cops caused Thursday when they said the actor was missing and in danger.
“You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” the “Ultimate Spider-Man” voice actor tweeted Thursday — not long after Daytona Beach police deemed him to be safe.

The letter came after the Daytona Beach Police Department shared a picture of the 36-year-old and a notice that he or she was missing on their Facebook page. The post said that Bell, whose real name is Jared Bell, had not been seen since Wednesday night near a high school. He was thought to be in a gray BMW, and the post said that he was “missing and endangered.”
The letter caused a lot of people to worry about the actor, who has been in trouble with the law for years.
In the comments section of the police post, people asked if the message was real. In response, police said that it was “a legitimate post” from the department. Even though the Nickelodeon veteran was thought to be gone for less than 24 hours, a police spokesperson told The Times that the case “was handled and spread in the same way as other similar cases.”
About four hours after the post went live, cops said they were able to reach Bell and make sure he was safe.
“Many [of] we were worried,” a fan responded to Bell’s tweet. “We’re all glad you’re safe. Sometimes it’s good to leave your phone at home, but next time. Please tell someone where you are going and that you are leaving your phone in the car. So that no one worries and freaks out.”
“Lmfao imagine living in Daytona Beach (Me) and hearing that drake bell is missing in your town I felt like I was in a simulation,” tweeted another.
