He is strong, has a short temper, and has metal claws that are very sharp. Wolverine is the best when it comes to comic book movie stars.

Hugh Jackman first played the character in the movie X-Men, which came out in 2000. He has since played the character in many sequels and spin-offs. The X-Men are a popular superhero team made up of mutants.

Wolverine is one of the most well-known members of the team. Hugh Jackman’s performance as the popular character Wolverine has made sure that his reputation will never end. If you want to learn more about Wolverine’s movie work but don’t know where to start, we’ve put together a few lists.

If you’re interested in the future, we have a list of all the Marvel movies and TV shows that are coming up in the near future.

Every Wolverine Movie in Release Order

Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine since the beginning of the century. Wolverine’s first movie was X-Men, which came out in 2000. He kept showing up in movies until Logan, which came out in 2017 when Jackman decided to stop playing the character.

Due to the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie, it looks like he will only be out of action for a short time. If you want to follow Hugh Jackman’s work as Wolverine, here are all of his movies in the order they came out.

It’s important to remember that not all of these movies are full-length features. In X-Men: First Class, Wolverine only shows up in one scene, and in X-Men: Apocalypse, he only shows up for a few seconds.

In Deadpool 2, Wolverine has a short cameo that is made up of both new and unused videos from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The goal of the appearance is to make a joke, and it lasts less than a minute. But we’re including all of those shows here to finish the story. Just don’t count on seeing much of Wolverine in Deadpool 2.

Every Wolverine Movie in Chronological Order

Wolverine is in a movie series called “X-Men,” which tends to jump around in time. For example, the movie X-Men: First Class comes before the X-Men movie from 2000, which takes place in a different decade.

If you’d rather watch the movies in the order they were made, we’ve made a list to help you. It’s important to remember that some movies take place in more than one time period. For example, some parts of the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine take place in 1845, but most of it takes place in 1979.

In that case, we put the movie right after X-Men: Days of Future Past, most of which takes place in 1973. We didn’t do that for Deadpool 2, though.

Even though the movie is set in 2018, Wolverine’s debut takes place in 1979, at the same time as his appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Since this watch order is about Wolverine, we put Deadpool 2 in order by when he first showed up.

Do Wolverine Movies Belong to the MCU?

The X-Men movie series, including Deadpool 3, Wolverine, and the rest, does not take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that could soon change. Years before the MCU was made, Marvel gave 20th Century Fox the rights to make movies about the X-Men.

This meant that Marvel Studios didn’t have the right to make a movie about Wolverine and add it to the MCU. Some X-Men characters like Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch made it into the MCU, but they were not shown as mutants (at least not yet).

The tweet below explains Vibranium vs Adamantium in the #MCU:

In 2019, Disney bought 20th Century Fox. This made it possible for the X-Men to join the MCU. Mutants have been mentioned in recent MCU projects, and in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Patrick Stewart played Charles Xavier again, but in a different form.

Hugh Jackman thought that Logan would be his last role as Wolverine, but it was recently revealed that he will play the character again in Deadpool 3, which is set to come out in 2024. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, said that Deadpool 3 will take place in the MCU.

This means that Wolverine and maybe other parts of the X-Men will be added for the first time to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

No one knows how the MCU timeline and the X-Men timeline will connect, but both franchises have dealt with time travel and alternate realities, so there are many options. Wolverine’s movie business seems to be going strong, no matter what happens.
