Fatal Stabbing in Queens Deli Suspect Apprehended by Police

Police reported that a 68-year-old man fatally stabbed a guy in a Queens deli early on Saturday.

According to the NYPD, Jonathan Gantt, 41, was stabbed in the leg inside the store at 214-57 Jamaica Ave. around 5:30 a.m. Despite being brought to the hospital, the victim was not able to be saved.

According to authorities, the 68-year-old guy was arrested but the charges against him were still pending as of Sunday morning.

Unknown circumstances led to the attack. The probe was still going on.
