Fort Worth Convenience Store Double Homicide Suspect Nabbed for Capital Murder

Two people were shot in the head and killed at a convenience store in southeast Fort Worth four days ago. On Friday, police arrested a guy on suspicion of capital murder.

A Fort Worth police record says that 27-year-old Michael Smith was arrested in the deaths of 18-year-old Marques Parker and 29-year-old Michael Sansom Jr.

Since January 2020, Parker and Sansom are the eighth and ninth people to be shot at the store on the 4200 block of Miller Avenue called Joe’s Food Mart.

Police only said that Smith and Parker had a fight around 2 a.m. and then shot each other. They did not say anything else about what happened.

The store is where Parker died. On Wednesday, Sansom died in a hospital.

Police said that Smith left the store in a car with two other people.
