Tuesday afternoon’s shooting in the west valley is being looked into by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
At 1:35 pm, police were called to the 900 block of Doolittle Avenue. The public has been warned to stay away from the location, which police have dubbed a “dynamic scenario.”
When Sean DeLancey of KTNV got on the site, he stated that SWAT was present alongside police.
Additionally, the shooting took place close to Matt Kelly Elementary School. According to the police, injuries have been reported, and medical personnel are responding.
Local stations received a briefing from Captain Raul Rodriguez on what transpired in the 900 block of Doolittle Avenue.
According to Rodriguez, dispatch got a service request for a neighbour argument at 1:06 pm. Officers heard gunshots as they approached the scene.
Three adults were involved in an argument that turned violent, according to a police investigation. Police report that none of the three involved adults’ injuries are life-threatening, and they were all taken to a nearby hospital.
The adjoining school had to be put on strict lockdown due to the gunfire. Police reported that CCSD police began releasing the pupils at around 4 o’clock.
All of the students are secure and present, according to Rodriguez. There are no active threats to the neighbourhood.
