Authorities said that a surfer was in very bad shape after a shark bit him in the leg early Sunday morning off Honolulu.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services says that the 58-year-old man was attacked near Kewalo Basin just before 7 a.m.
EMS said in a statement that paramedics came and “administered life-saving treatment to a patient who was surfing and suffered shark bite to right leg,”
KGMB-TV, a CBS station in Honolulu, says that surfers in the area helped make a tourniquet.
No one knew who the surfer was.

KGMB says that the eight-foot tiger shark was seen again and was acting aggressively.
“Honolulu Ocean Safety will continue to patrol the waters off of Kewalo Basin and Ala Moana after this morning’s shark bite. Lifeguards posted signs in the area,” In an email to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Shayne Enright, a spokesman for EMS, said the following.
