The terrible crash that killed almost 300 people and hurt more than 800 has been found to have been caused by.
Officials said on Sunday that a mistake in the electronic signaling system caused a train to change tracks in the wrong direction and crash into a freight train. This happened on Friday evening.
A rail official said that a thorough review will show whether the mistake was made by a person or by a piece of equipment.

Jaya Verma Sinha, who works for the rail system, said, “The system is 99.9% error-free. But there are always 0.1% chances of making a mistake,”
When asked if the crash could have been caused on purpose, she said, “Nothing is ruled out.”
It comes after it was found that some bodies had been counted twice, which brought the official death toll down from 288. Pradeep Jena, the chief secretary of the eastern state of Odisha, said this.
