Does Jimmy Butler Have Hair Extensions? The Unsung Story of Jimmy Butler’s Dreadlocks

Before the season started, Jimmy Butler might have gone back to his usual hairstyle, but what happened to those dreadlocks he had in the offseason?

The Heat forward shocked social media when he shared a video of himself working out during the offseason with long dreadlocks in his hair.

Then, he went on Twitter and Instagram to talk about how he got his new look.

Butler kept his dreadlocks for the whole off-season, but before the practice started, he cut them back to his usual style.

Why did Butler even choose to have dreadlocks? And did they happen? At Media Day, the six-time All-Star talked about his haircut.

The dreadlocks were there because Butler was having a good time.

When asked about his new look at Media Day, Butler joked, “I don’t have any extensions, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“I don’t know,” he said when asked if he would keep them going for the rest of the season. “I’m not sure if I’ll keep my hair this way or not.”

He joked again, “They’re not extensions, so who knows.”

He kept talking about how he looked and said, “I’m trying out a lot of different looks. Do you like how I look like a baby-faced killer? It’s kind of cute, wouldn’t you say?

Then he got serious and explained why he had changed things.

The post below shows the changes in Butler’s Hairs:

“I don’t really know. I never really gave it much thought. I’m just messing around with things to make people mad on the internet. This summer, that was my goal, and it came true.”

Even though Butler’s hair is back to normal for the start of the season, he wore dreadlocks for his Media Day pictures and headshot. Get used to seeing Jimmy with dreadlocks all season long if you play fantasy basketball or check NBA.com’s numbers page often.
