On Saturday morning in Kansas City, two people were shot, and one of them died. Police are looking into what happened.
Capt. Corey Carlisle, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department, said that officers went to the shooting near East 37th Street and Prospect Avenue.
Two people had been shot, according to the police. One of the people who were hurt, an adult man, died. A second man who was shot had injuries that weren’t life-threatening, so he was taken to a hospital nearby.
Carlisle said that around noon, more shots were fired from somewhere unknown as police searched the area.
Police say that on Friday night, there was a shooting at the corner of 35th Street and Prospect Avenue. One person was killed and four others, including a child under 5, were hurt.
