The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that a teen was shot and killed Thursday night on Indian Creek Drive.

A new statement says that deputies were called to the shooting in the 2300 block of Indian Creek Drive just before midnight. An official said that not long after that, police went to the 1800 block of Sapona Road near South Plymouth Street to help with a car crash.

There, they found the young guy who had been shot. The statement said that he was found to be dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The tweet below verifies the news:

The Sheriff’s Office said that the teen’s name was not made public because of his age. There was no information right away about whether he was driving or if anyone else was in the car. About a mile separates the two crime spots.
