Police have released the name of the 23-year-old man who was shot and killed in west London.
At 2:15 a.m. on January 26, police were summoned to an address in Acton’s Rosebank Way, where they discovered Fernando Johnson gravely hurt.
Despite the London ambulance service’s best efforts, 23-year-old Johnson passed away there.
A postmortem revealed that a gunshot wound was the cause of death.
A man in his 20s was detained on suspicion of murder on January 28. After being arrested, he was later freed on bond.
Insp. Det Senior investigating officer Matt Denby made an appeal to the public for any information on the event.
As always, he said, “My team is making good progress with their inquiries, but we are interested to know who could have been in and around the area at the time of this occurrence.”
“An online portal has been opened so that members of the public can send us materials that can help with our investigation.
I beg you to look through your dashcam and doorbell camera footage for any evidence you may have. Even if you believe it to be inconsequential, we still want to receive it.
