Police in Seattle caught a person suspected of setting a fire Wednesday afternoon in the University District, the department said Friday.
Officers went to a house in the 4700 block of Seventh Avenue Northeast just after 1 p.m. to help the Seattle Fire Department put out a fire that had already been put out.
Police were able to find a suspect who had left the scene of a crime thanks to information from witnesses.
The tweet below confirms the news:
Police said that officers were called back to the house when the suspect came back and was met by the property manager. The suspect tried to get away, but the cops caught him and put him in jail.
The 40-year-old guy had multiple arrest warrants out for him, so he was put in the King County Jail while the arson investigation was going on.
