Authorities say the guy who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and badly injured her new fiance at a luxury Hallandale Beach resort committed suicide in Plantation on Wednesday. The shooter in the Monday morning shooting in Hallandale Beach was located on Cleary Boulevard between Pine Island Road and Lauderdale West Drive, according to the police.

According to the police, he fatally shot himself as officers approached. A body wrapped in a yellow tarp was filmed on the side of the road. Wednesday afternoon later, access to the formerly restricted area was restored. At 12:15 a.m. on Monday, a shooting occurred at the Beachwalk Resort on 2602 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

According to the police report, the suspect approached a man and a woman who were waiting in the resort’s valet area and began firing, killing the woman and gravely wounding the guy. The shooter was the ex-boyfriend of the victim, according to police, who have not disclosed any names. Her new boyfriend, who was seriously hurt, was one of the victims.
