Thompson, also known as “Puffin’s Wife” online, passed away just seven weeks after celebrating her most recent birthday.

Mel Thompson has over 169,000 YouTube subscribers and another 56,700 dedicated Instagram followers. Her most recent video, titled “Wayne Goss Mine,” was posted to YouTube three days ago, and in it, she can be heard ranting about makeup as usual. At the time of this writing, the video had over 40,000 views.

Thompson’s children and spouse will miss her greatly. Last year on Mother’s Day, the mother of four posted an Instagram.

She recalled the time when she was positive she would never desire children. However, after giving birth to her two girls and two sons, she realized she would never want to swap places with anyone. From Mel Thompson’s blog:

I feel very blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people, both my children, and my extended family. Being a mother can be tremendously trying at times, but the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. I love you with all my heart, my babies (you’ll always be babies to me).

Mel Thompson, a popular YouTuber, passed unexpectedly on September 26 at the age of 35, her husband Puffin Thompson has revealed.

While logged onto Mel’s Instagram account, Puffin penned a lengthy and touching homage to his wife.

The deceased was “a beautiful person,” he said. I only wanted to document the joy she spread. So many people have texted me to see how she was doing, not knowing that she had died. Seeing how much adoration she received brings enormous joy.

She returned your affections unconditionally. For the rest of my life, I will always cherish and miss her. She was the rock upon which our family rested.

That she would have “done everything to help anyone without a second thought” and that everyone knew how “talented” she was were just two of the things Puffin praised about her in the memorial.

Mel was well-known in the YouTube beauty industry, having acquired 170,000 subscribers since she first debuted in 2013. In addition, she had amassed a total of 57,050 Instagram followers.

Mel’s death was unexpected and its cause is unknown, but a friend claimed that “…she had a lot of medical difficulties.”

The YouTuber had previously discussed her diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos disease on her channel.

In an emotional Instagram post, Mel’s friend and fellow content producer Tara Lynn paid tribute to her by writing, “Love you, Mel, thank you for being such an incredible friend to me, and I will forever miss you and our long phone chats. Our thoughts and prayers are with Puffin, her adorable children, Mother Regina, and all of Puffin’s loved ones. Mel, my lovely, rest in peace.
